A C3 coating is a certified corrosion protection system for steel structures exposed to a moderately aggressive outdoor environment. Examples include bridge railings, steel structures of movable bridges, lock gates and other infrastructural applications where a C3 classification is mandatory according to ISO 12944.
The Korthals C3 system consists of three layers that work together as a complete protective unit: an epoxy primer, an epoxy midcoat and a durable acrylate-polyisocyanate topcoat. Each product in the system has been developed for maximum adhesion, corrosion resistance and a long service life, even under outdoor conditions.
