With waterborne stain, the natural wood structure is preserved after application. This stain can be applied to many types of wood, including beech, pine, and cherry. Below, we share some points to consider for application.
Do’s | Don’ts |
Test the waterborne stain on a test piece to assess how the color appears on the type of wood you’re using. | Artificial drying, as this can result in color variation. |
Prepare untreated wood properly: sand, remove dust, and degrease. | Not recommended for application on oak wood due to raising of the wood fiber. |
Stir the stain well before use for even distribution of the pigments. | |
Allow sufficient drying time if you decide to varnish the wood afterward. |
