Spray stains are based on a hydro carbon black. By using Naptha color stain or small amounts of nitro stain, one can set the right color. Spray stains are commonly used on oak wood. In doing so, it accentuates the wood grains beautifully.
The most common application method of spray stain is by the use of a spray gun. Wipe the stain with a cloth until you obtain a single color. Soens’ spray stains can be painted on with cellulose lacquers.
2K varnishes and acid-hardening lacquers cannot be applied on spray stains, to avoid adherence problems.
