For the color finishing of treated wood, stains play a crucial role. In most cases, waterborne stains are preferred over solvent-based ones. Waterborne stains are environmentally friendly, low in odor, and have a relatively short drying time.
In addition to indoor and outdoor furniture applications, waterborne stain is also suitable for:
Exterior cladding | Doors | Garage doors | Garden fences |
Balcony railings | Scaffolding | Decks | Musical instruments |
Window frames | Dormers | Artworks | Decorative objects |
With transparent stain, the wood grain and texture remain most visible. Colored transparent variants can create a gradient effect. As a rule of thumb, remember: the darker the stain color, the less visible the wood grain and texture.
Water-based stain is primarily used on beech, pine, and cherry wood. Note: due to the way oak fibers react, waterborne stain is not recommended for oak wood.
Soen’s Furniture Stains – part of the Korthals Group – is the go-to destination for waterborne stain for industrial volumes.
The waterborne stains are available in a lightfast color assortment from E-10 to E-80. Other colors are available upon request.
