Stoving finishes are coatings that require curing at elevated temperatures, starting from 130°C. Korthals’s stoving finishes are characterized by a combination of excellent hardness, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance. Korthals has various types of stoving finishes for different uses.
For indoor application both alkyd/ureum stoving finishes with coding US and UD are suitable. The water-based stoving finish serves for outdoor application, whereas Kortacure T-PE, for instance, fits well in the industry for road signs. A particularly special application is PE stoving finish for use on screws. This coating is extremely resistant to heavy mechanical loads.
