Removing green deposits from building facades is a time-consuming task that consumes significant resources on the financial balance sheets of companies and government agencies. As with so many situations, prevention is better than a cure.
Mosses and algae thrive in damp conditions. By applying our anti-graffiti coating, the substrate to be protected acquires a water-repellent film layer. (This is generally preceded by a primer that eliminates the porosity of the treated substrate.) Through this approach, rainwater can no longer adhere to the substrate, nor penetrate it. This minimizes the formation of green deposits.
In addition to graffiti spraying, fly-posting is a persistent problem, particularly in urban areas. Traffic signs, public waste bins, and concrete structures are especially vulnerable. Unsolicited stickering does not exactly improve the streetscape. Furthermore, when removing them, one often finds that adhesive residues are difficult to clear.
Although our anti-graffiti coatings cannot entirely prevent fly-posting, they do have a discouraging effect. Defacement adheres less effectively, and any adhesive residues can be removed more easily. The substrate remains well-protected during cleaning. The anti-graffiti coating acts as an intermediate layer; the risk of damaging the substrate during this process is therefore virtually nil.
