Therm-O-Signal & KB Hydrogen Fluoride
With the Therm-O-Signal paint system, Korthals contributes to the safety of industrial and (petro)chemical installations. The paint changes color as soon as overheating is imminent. The speed at which the color changes — and therefore the speed at which you are alerted — is one of the key advantages of the Therm-O-Signal system.
The temperature-indicating paints come in two types: irreversible and reversible.
For outdoor application on blasted steel, the Briosil 6/7360P primer is available – a zinc-rich primer with excellent corrosion-resistant properties and heat resistance up to 600°C.

Korthals also offers a hydrogen fluoride color-changing paint. This prevents leaking hydrogen fluoride in process installations, for example, from reaching catastrophic proportions. With this coating, leaks in valves, pipelines, and reaction vessels become immediately visible, making it instantly clear which process components are at real risk of acid leakage.
